Moving Comfort, sports bras and fitness lifestyle apparel leader, is pleased to announce Support Your Girls, an initiative focused on programs educating women and girls about the importance of leading a healthy and active lifestyle. From February to April 2009, limited edition Moving Comfort Support Your Girls T-shirts will be available exclusively at FLEET FEET retailers. Thirty-three percent of the proceeds from every T-shirt sold will be donated to Girls in the Game®.

The mission of Girls in the Game is to provide and promote sports and fitness opportunities, nutrition and health education and leadership development to enhance the overall health and well being of girls aged six to eighteen. Girls in the Game encourages girls of all abilities to get in the game–any game–in an all-girl setting where girls are empowered to find their voices, explore new physical activities and support one another. After one year in the after school program, girls eat healthier, exercise more, have a healthier body image and have better social skills than their peers. These positive habits mean a healthy body and a bright future for Girls in the Game girls.

“We are thrilled to launch our Support Your Girls program,” said Julie Baxter, Vice President of Moving Comfort. “Moving Comfort has been celebrating and encouraging women to get fit for over thirty years. We are a company by women for women, lead by the belief that ‘a fit woman is a powerful woman'. Many of us are mothers of young girls ourselves and we recognize first hand the importance of instilling healthy habits early on.”

The Support Your Girls T-shirt is available in Pomegranate and Cornflower, for $30 suggested retail. The T-shirt features the Moving Comfort mantra “A Fit Woman is a Powerful Woman®” in a continuous stream to create a graphic and bold design.

The Support Your Girls T-shirt will make its industry debut at the 2009 Winter Outdoor Retailer Show in Salt Lake City where they will be available for sale at the Moving Comfort booth #36061 on January 22 and 23, 2009 from 4 to 6 p.m. As a special industry offer, the T-shirts will be sold at the Outdoor Retailer Show for $20 with 33 percent of the proceeds directly supporting Girls in the Game. Starting in February 2009, consumers can visit www.movingcomfort.com to find the closest participating FLEET FEET location.
