Williston, VT – Mammut, the Swiss quality providers of alpine gear and apparel, is excited to sponsor the 2014 USSA Junior National Cross-Country Ski Championships. Close to Mammut’s North American headquarters in Vermont, the sporting events will be held at Stowe’s world-class Trapp Family Lodge.
Capitalizing on the excitement surrounding the 2014 Sochi Olympic Games, the Junior National Cross-Country Ski Championships will take place over the week of March 1-8. As host city, Stowe has been transformed into a mini-Olympic village and will sponsor a variety of activities over the course of the week including opening and closing ceremonies, a parade, and a block party.
“We’re excited to support the spirit of athleticism and competition in our own Green Mountains of Vermont,” said Bill Supple, CEO of Mammut North America. “Cross country skiing is a sport that is close to our hearts and we are proud to help support young athletes in the Junior National Cross-Country Ski Championships.”
More than 420 aspiring Olympians will spend a week competing for top national honors. Athletes will compete in classic and freestyle events, including sprints, endurance, and individual and team relay competitions.
