More than 1,400 outdoor manufacturers and 20,000 outdoor industry members from around the world will converge upon the Salt Palace Convention Center this week for the bi-annual Outdoor Retailer trade show. Many will use the big event to announce new products, new technology, new expeditions, new advocacy initiatives, and new acquisitions. But because OR is a trade-only event, nobody outside of the industry will hear about it. That's about to change. FreeRange Media in association with Backcountry.com presents The mORning Show, a daily, livestreamed talkshow broadcast live from the Outdoor Retailer Summer Market.
Hosted by industry media veteran Doug Schnitzspahn, along with on the floor reporters, the program will report on the coolest new products and talk to the outdoor industry's leading icons, athletes, and influencers in a live, talk show-style TV program. Guests include Jimmy Chin, Renan Ozturk, and Black Diamond CEO Peter Metcalf. The mORning Show will air on Thursday through Saturday at 8:00 a.m. MDT on the following channels:

The mORning Show will provide access to up-to-the-minute happenings of the trade show to a consumer audience eager for an inside look at current events, people, and products in the outdoor industry. Daily guest lists and times will be posted on the broadcast sites.
The live show will leverage a theater-style, interactive atmosphere by encouraging and answering questions from the studio and online audience during the live-stream via Facebook and Twitter (Follow #morningshow for updates).
The program leverages the large, active social media communities that Backcountry.com and Columbia has as a broadcast platform to provide their highly targeted and influential demographic with custom content that is of specfici interest to them, while providing the general public with a valuable look at the people and products that will drive the outdoor industry for the next 12 months.
