Two Harbors, MN – Adding to the award-winning Nimbus Trace Access multi-day pack series, Granite Gear debuts the 60L and 85L versions. Utilizing the same Nimbus suspension system with the super resilient maple core framesheet and exoskeleton belts, the packs, available in Spring 2015, are built to handle heavy loads while providing all day comfort on the trails.
“We’ve maintained the same quality and precision in fit and comfort in these additional Nimbus suspension packs,” notes Granite Gear co-owner and VP of Sales, Rob Coughlin. “It’s important for us to be able to offer pack size options for hikers and explorers, whether they want to spend a weekend on the trail or four months in the North Pole.”
With dual density foam and a pivot point attachment system on both the hip belt and shoulder straps, the user experiences an enhanced freedom of movement and a more equal distribution of the pack load along the upper body. Made of Cordura high tenacity nylon, the pack features dual-zipper front access panel and adjustable torso length.
Extra features include a zip open access panel and internal compression straps, which allow the wearer to get to the gear at the bottom of the pack without disturbing the gear above. The 60 L pack weighs 4lbs, 3oz, and a load rating of 60lbs, and 85 L pack weighs 4lbs, 9oz and has a load rating of 60lbs. Both sizes are available in Ki, women’s specific backpacks. NTA60 MSRP: $329.95. NTA85 MSRP: $369.95.
Both the NTA 60 and the NTA 85 will debut at Summer Outdoor Retailer at the Granite Gear booth, # 36149.
