Vancouver, BC– Climbing skins usually function best on the bottom of your skis, but they have many alternative uses outside of skiing. Have you ever found yourself waxing your back hair, covering up, or getting your car unstuck from a snow bank with a little help from your climbing skins? Well, G3 and Powder Magazine would love to see you putting your G3 skins to good use with the 2013 G3 Show Skin Photo Project.
“Over the years we’ve had G3 fans who’ve sent us photos of skins serving other purposes besides traveling uphill on snow, which is how we came up with the idea for this contest. This is a good opportunity to gain traction – pun intended – for G3’s new HighTraction Skins, ” said Gord Bailey, VP of Sales and Marketing for G3. “We’re really excited to see how our skins will be used. With the social media and creative aspect of this campaign, we expect to get some great submissions.”
Throughout the project, the gang at G3 and Powder Magazine will periodically choose their favorite posts and hook that participant up with a piece of G3 gear, such as G3’s Love Gloves, Bonesaw, Rutschblock Cord, G3 toque, Glue Renew or Utility Straps. On February 28th one lucky skinner will walk away with G3’s new High Traction Climbing Skins, a G3 SpeedTECH 190 Probe and G3 SpadeTECH Shovel. So get out there, get creative and show us some skin!
