Jackson, Wy. (September 19, 2017) — Today, Franco Snowshapes, makers of the finest handcrafted snowboards in the world, is proud to announce a new line of snowboards: The RPK Line. A collaboration with Sego Skis, the line features three boards, RPK-1, RPK-2 and RPK-3. Each shape is designed, tested and built on both sides of the Teton Mountain Range.
An acronym for Rendezvous Peak, a well-known mountain located at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, the RPK winter weather forecast alerts how much snow is expected overnight- the higher the number, the greater the predicted overnight snowfall. The RPK forecast is considered the most important information of the day for patrollers, mountain employees and locals alike. It also creates a lot of buzz and excitement for the next day’s bounty.
“I am extremely excited to announce the long awaited RPK line,” said Mikey Franco, Founder of Franco Snowshapes. “I want to honor not only the Jackson Hole Ski Patrol for the hard work they do, but commemorate the stoke and fire that exists in a community like Jackson Hole and other ski towns around the world.”
The RPK line features one women’s and two men’s all mountain and powder specific boards designed for powder carves, tight trees, steep chutes and supreme carving. Franco chose the shapes for the RPK line by utilizing client feedback and peer reviews and testing to determine the perfect shapes for a wide variety of riders. Each board is meticulously designed, tuned and ready to rip!
