Internal promotions and new hires support growth in the Mid-Atlantic, Northeast, Gulf Coast, and Central U.S. regions
GREENVILLE, S.C. (August 22, 2014)- Confluence Outdoor recently hired new sales representatives Andrew Miller and John Jameson in the Mid-Atlantic/Northeast and the Gulf Coast regions and promoted longtime sales representative Matt Yablonowski to Key Account Representative in the Central U.S. region.
Matt Yablonowski brings more than 14 years of sales, marketing and outdoor industry experience to his new post where he is responsible for managing Academy, The Sports Authority, Mills Fleet Farm and Gander Mountain. In his previous post as a sales representative for Confluence since 2011, he worked for independent specialty accounts in the northeast. Prior to Confluence, he held sales positions at Northeast Outdoor Sports and an outside sales agency where he represented Johnson Outdoor watercraft. He also worked in the marketing department at Sugar Bowl Ski Area and had a leadership role at Squaw Valley Academy. Matt is an avid skier and paddler and is actively passing his love for the outdoors on to his two young sons.
John Jameson, who is based in Texas, is responsible for the Rockies, Texas, and Gulf regions working with independent specialty accounts in Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas, and Tennessee. Jameson previously owned an independent sales agency specializing in the bicycle, golf, tennis, and swim industries and worked as a sales manager for Gamma Sports, Dunlop and Reebok. John is an outdoor enthusiast and enjoys anything sports related. He and his wife are teaching their two daughters to have the same passion for the outdoors.
Andrew Miller has joined Confluence as Accessories Sales Representative for the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast territories. In this new position, Miller will focus solely on growing sales of Adventure Technology, Bomber Gear and Harmony brands at independent specialty retailers in Missouri, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Vermont, New Hampshire and Connecticut. Miller previously worked as a sales rep at Backcountry Outfitters and in web development positions at Immersion Research and ProWeb Marketing. Miller is an avid outdoorsman and dedicated whitewater paddler who raced BMX competitively for many years growing up.
“We are excited to add John and Andrew to our full time, direct sales team, and to have Matt working on our key accounts,” said Shelly Moore, VP Sales for Confluence Outdoor. “They are all hard-working, smart, and bring significant industry and sales experience to their positions. Expanding our sales team requires finding great people with the right combination of work experience, excellent customer service skills, and a passion for the outdoors.
