CGPR Named Agency of Record for Outdoor Retailer Trade Shows

MARBLEHEAD, Mass. (November 14, 2007) – CGPR, a public relations firm with strong roots in the outdoor community and broad experience in the consumer category, today was named public relations agency of record for the Outdoor Retailer Winter and Summer Markets. Working closely with Nielsen Business Media, CGPR will provide media relations support for each show including pre-show and on-site support for exhibitors, pre-show and on-site registration for media, and overall media relations. Outdoor Retailer Summer Market was recently honored as one of the 50 fastest growing trade shows in the United States at the Tradeshow Week Fastest 50 gala at the Omni Hotel at CNN Center in Atlanta for the second time since 2003.

Outdoor Retailer Winter Market 2008 is taking place January 23-26, at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City and will offer the first opportunity of the year to explore new brands and innovative products in the wintersports and outdoor industry for fall/winter '08. The Outdoor Retailer Summer Market 2008 show will take place August 7-10, attracting more than 6,000 buyers previewing the latest in outdoor gear, technology, accessories and apparel.

The Outdoor Industry Association, the trade organization for the outdoor community, hosts two key annual events, the Capitol Summit, during which the industry brings its message to Capitol Hill and the OIA Rendezvous, a gathering of over 250 CEOs, brand managers and media meet to discuss issues facing the industry.
