On-site specialists will install the Boa Closure System on attendees’ shoes

January 14, 2014 (DENVER, COLO.)—Boa Technology Inc., maker of the patented, award-winning Boa Closure System, is giving attendees at the upcoming Outdoor Retailer Winter Market (O.R.) an opportunity to “Get Closure” by retrofitting special versions of the Boa Closure Systems on their lace-up shoes.

“At last summer’s O.R. Show, the Taste of Boa reached maximum capacity, installing nearly 500 Boa Closure Systems on attendees’ shoes,” says Mark Soderberg, Boa Technology CEO. “Due to the incredible demand and feedback we received, bringing the program back was an easy decision.” Follow-up surveys from the previous show revealed that nearly 99% of those trying the system had a positive experience. The most commonly cited reasons were improved fit, attractive aesthetic, speed of adjustment and convenience.

“We’ve believed forever that, once people try Boa, they’ll love it,” says Boa Technology Marketing Director Garett Graubins. “This retrofit project is designed to give people a ‘taste of Boa’ so that they can learn first-hand what tens of millions of people worldwide know already: that Boa is better.” Graubins points out that the offer’s goal is to build awareness and not to create demand for a “retrofit kit” available en masse.

During all four days of the OR show (January 22-25), attendees can drop off their low-cut lace-up shoes (sorry, no kids’ shoes) at the Taste of Boa booth (booth #56024, near the main Temple entrance), where Boa’s team will install the Boa Closure System. Attendees will be sent a photo text of their now Boa-powered footwear when their shoes are ready to be picked up.

The award-winning Boa Closure System is found on over 28 million products worldwide, produced with more than 140 different partner brands across several product categories, including cycling, athletic, outdoor, snow sports, golf, utility and medical. Outdoor Retailer exhibitors debuting new Boa-powered products at the upcoming show including K2, Tubbs, Scarpa, Louis Garneau and Topo Athletic.
