Backpacker Magazine’s Get Out More Tour Appoints Darby Communications as Agency of Record

Asheville, N.C. – January 20, 2016 – Backpacker Magazine is proud to announce its expanding partnership with Darby Communications to promote the 2016 Get Out More Tour. As the agency of record, Darby Communications will handle all media relations for this one-of-a-kind eight-month mobile outdoor education experience, which will begin this March.

Now entering its sixteenth year, the Get Out More Tour will extend its sharing of Backpacker’s authoritative editorial advice from the outdoor store to the trail itself. In addition to 45 retailer stops and five outdoor festival appearances, Get Out More Tour ambassadors Keith and Becky Unruh will lead fifteen On-the-Trail Adventures. These led-hikes will demonstrate the proper skills and equipment that outdoor enthusiasts will need to face their region’s unique natural conditions.
