Adventure Technology (AT) is joining Dagger and Wave Sport at the Teva Mountain Games in Vail, Colo. June 2-5, 2011. With four kayaking events planned, the Teva Mountain Games (TMG) are the perfect testing ground for the best performing paddle in whitewater.
The kayaking events at TMG will be: the Steep Creek Championship on Homestake Creek, Freestyle Kayak Championship at Vail Whitewater Park, Down River Sprint on Gore Creek and the just-for-fun “8-Ball Kayak Sprint.” Look for Bryan Kirk, Rush Sturges, and Tao Berman, all of whom choose AT, to continue dominating in the speed and freestyle events.
The athletes won’t have all the fun. AT will have information, advice on choosing a paddle, and paddles available to purchase for those who stop by one of the AT/Dagger/Wave Sport expo tents at “Gear Town” in Vail Village, directly next to the Vail Whitewater Park at International Bridge, and home of the Freestyle Championship.
This is the perfect time to check out the patented, Adventure Technology Full Control Grip (FCG) and the strength and consistent flex pattern of the AT unibody construction in the F-Core series whitewater line. A limited number of AT2 Superduty paddles will be on hand. After years of secret testing by the toughest athletes on the planet, the AT2 Superduty was found to be nearly indestructible. It’s the only paddle with a Limited Lifetime Warranty, making it the only paddle you’ll ever need to own.
Adventure Technology will also be raffling off six logo-wear prize packages throughout the weekend. Raffle winners will be announced at the tent Saturday and Sunday at 1:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m., and 5:00 p.m. Proceeds will benefit the non-profit First Descents, a group improving young cancer survivors’ lives through outdoor activity.
Teva Mountain Games has quickly become one of the premier, multi-sport events in the world. With Gore Creek, Homestake Creek, the Eagle River and the Colorado River just minutes away, Vail is a kayaking mecca and TMG is the kick-off to summer. Look for AT in the heart of the action in Gear Town, next to Vail Whitewater Park.
About Adventure Technology:
In 1993, an idea for the first, whitewater-specific, ergonomic paddle was born. That idea grew into Adventure Technology (AT), a paddle maker who doesn’t seek to “balance” adventure with technology, but rather seeks to push both concepts to the outer limits. AT now delivers premium whitewater and touring paddles known for excellence in design, craftsmanship and innovation. In 2009, AT joined the rest of the Confluence Watersports family in Easley, S.C., to continue its legacy of dedicated research and development, all in the name of a good adventure. www.atpaddle.com
