Nemo Equipment (www.nemoequipment.com) has a new home (photo, right) in Dover, N.H., and is hiring.

The outdoor equipment company completed its 60-mile move across New Hampshire, more than doubling its space and gaining a location closer to the coast and mountains.

Nemo’s new headquarters at 383 Central Ave., Suite 400 in Dover covers about 20,000 square feet – up from 8,500 feet at its former location in Nashua.

“Along with the move and Nemo’s steady growth over the past six years, we are restructuring and hiring to address the many more opportunities and obligations coming our way,” director of marketing and public relations Kate Ketschek told SNEWS.

The company is looking for a product development coordinator, senior sales director and marketing communications senior director, she said.

>> In other real estate news -- not moving, but expanding -- Darn Tough Vermont (www.darntough.com) will invest $400,000 into its facility in Northfield, Vt.

After increasing knitting machine inventory by nearly 50 percent last year, the sock manufacturer will allocate most of the new funds for more Italian-made seamless knitting machines. The company also expects to continue adding jobs, officials said.

“People are willing to pay for quality,” said Ric Cabot, founder and president of Darn Tough Vermont. “Maybe even more than ever, consumers are making well-informed, deliberate purchases and looking for products that are made in the USA or guaranteed."
