Arc'teryx Procline boots manufactured between Nov. 1, 2015 and March 31, 2017 may be affected.

Arc'teryx announced Thursday that it is recalling first generation Procline backcountry ski boots.

In some boots, it has been reported that the axis pin near the heel has dislodged, which can cause a skier to fall or lose control. No injuries have been reported.

Last year, Backpacker Magazine gave the boot an Editor's Choice Award for exceptional mobility and range of motion.

"On behalf of Arc’teryx, thank you for your patience as we bring this new technology to market," Arc'teryx President Jon Horeauf said in a statement. "Innovation and quality are foundational building blocks of our brand design culture. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this issue has caused and wish you to know that over our 25 year history of making climbing equipment, we have been and remain committed to creating products that enable consumers to move safely in the mountains."

If you have a pair of Procline boots, check the inside of the spoiler for a colored dot. If it does not have a colored dot, you should contact Arc'teryx to have your boots repaired at no cost.
