W.L. Gore Signs on as Sponsor of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort

Reinforcing its connection to the winter sports community, W.L. Gore & Associates, inventor of the GORE-TEX® Brand, today announced it will sponsor Jackson Hole Mountain Resort during the 2008-2009 ski season. In addition, Gore will sponsor Dick's Ditch Classic Bank Slalom race planned for February 2009 and outfit Jackson Hole staff and ski patrol in Marmot's jackets featuring GORE-TEX® and WINDSTOPPER® fabric technology. As part of the partnership with the resort, Gore receives visibility in resort collateral, banner placement, event credentials, seeding opportunities and press promotions.

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort attracts approximately 500,000 skier visits in the winter, featuring over 2,500 in bound acres to ski or snowboard and another 3,000 backcountry acres. Additionally, the resort's brand new Aerial Tram opened on December 20, 2008, and is one of the most impressive and dramatic lifts in North America.

The Dick's Ditch Classic Bank Slalom, known for being one of the most challenging downhill events in the U.S., is Jackson Hole's premier freeride competitive event open to both skiers and snowboarders Feb. 27-March 1, 2009.
