Road trip targets hundreds of retail stores in 11 Western states
Boulder, Colo. - June 1, 2017
Sierra Designs, the Colorado-based brand known for innovative outdoor products, is hitting the road to encourage people to “think outside.” The Think Outside Tour for tech reps launched this month and will run through the end of August. Sierra Designs team member Troy Haas is behind the wheel, living and working out of a custom vehicle he tailored himself to truly embrace #vanlife during the tour. Haas will take on an ambitious schedule of retail stops, festivals and events along the West Coast to offer demonstrations and retail employee training around Sierra Designs’ latest products.
“This tour gives us an incredible opportunity to have facetime with a huge number of retailers and consumers,” says Sierra Designs senior director Stephen Barnes. “Not only will we gain valuable insight and feedback from the people buying and selling our gear, we also get to inspire the ‘Think Outside’ lifestyle along the way.”
The Think Outside Tour kicked off at Sierra Designs’ headquarters in Boulder, Colorado, and will include hundreds of stops in 11 Western states. In addition to retail visits, the tour will hit several events including PCT Days in Cascade Locks, Oregon, the Outdoor Project Block Party in Bend, Oregon and a Yosemite backpacking trip with Shoestring Adventures. The tour will also highlight sister brands Kelty and Ultimate Direction, and feature additional products from tour sponsors Engle Coolers, Goal Zero and Nite Ize.
You can check out highlights and updates from the tour on Sierra Designs’ Facebook and Instagram.
