MCLEAN, Va.-- Earlier today, SIA announced a fantastic incentive for those heading to the first-ever Snow Show at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver (Jan. 28-31). In conjunction with Colorado Ski Country USA (CSCUSA), SIA will provide Snow Show retailer attendees coupons for free lift tickets and 2 for 1 lift tickets for all other Show attendees to use three days before and/or three days after the Snow Show.

Registered Show attendees (pre-registration ends 12.17.09) will receive valuable coupons, along with their badges, entitling them to free or 2 for 1 lift tickets at participating Colorado Ski Country USA resorts (see details below). Snow Show attendees will be able to take full advantage of the amazing ski/snowboard terrain that has made Colorado world famous.

“Obviously our industry lives and breathes skiing and snowboarding and now Colorado Ski Country USA has provided one more incentive to get out and enjoy the incredible terrain Colorado has to offer,” commented Mike Carey, SIA’s Chairman of the Board and Co-President of Serius Innovations.

“With 22 resorts offering more than 28,000 acres of skiable terrain and Mother Nature providing the quality snow conditions Colorado is known for, Show attendees will have plenty of options for snow sliding adventure during their visit,” explains Melanie Mills, president and CEO of Colorado Ski Country USA.

The SIA Snow Show is the world’s largest snow sports trade event bringing together over 18,000 attendees including management, industry leaders, manufacturers, retailers, sales reps, athletes, celebrities and media. On the heels of the Show, attendees will head up to the mountains of Winter Park Resort (alpine and snowboard) and Devil’s Thumb Ranch (Nordic) for the first international On-Snow Demo/Free Ride Fest on February 1-2, 2010. The demo event will be held in conjunction with the WWSRA (Western Winter Sports Representatives Association) Rocky Mountain Demo, which has an extensive history of hosting on-snow demos for reps and retailers in the active sports industry. SIA is also working with CCSAA (Cross Country Ski Areas Association) for the Nordic portion of the demo. As part of the Free Ride Fest, brand reps, management, retailers, industry colleagues, athletes and media are all invited to get out and ski, ride and slide for free. Registration for the On-Snow Demo/Free Ride Fest includes free transportation, free lunches, free tickets to Winter Park and Devil’s Thumb and free rentals. Events and activities are being planned; including an aprés happy hour, live music, brand parties, competitions and more.
