BOULDER, Colo. – SCARPA North America this week added new sales representation in three territories: California and the southwest; Great Lakes; and the Midwest. The additions grow SCARPA North America's sales rep force to a total of 23 people in 10 territories.

In the Southwest – California, Nevada and Arizona – SCARPA added Straight Up Sports Inc., comprised of founder Chuck Blackwell and sales associates Russell Buck and Mark Robinson. Established in 1990, Straight Up Sports also represents Arc'Teryx, Petzl and Solio. All three team members are avid climbers, skiers and all-around outdoor aficionados. They can be reached at 805-474-8188 or chuck@straightupsportsinc.com.

In the Midwest, including North and South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Iowa, Missouri, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois and Michigan (Upper Peninsula only), SCARPA retained Ames Adventure Outfitters, including founder Brian Block and sales associates Sunday Park, Vanessa Hohn, Bryan Gillam and Peter Grimes. In the sales business for six years, Block and his team – avid climbers and skiers – also represent Marmot, Osprey and Snowpeak, among others. They can be reached at 515-834-2282 or brian@goaao.com.

In the Great Lakes region – Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky and Michigan (except Upper Peninsula) – SCARPA retained Skoboatin Enterprises and founder Tim Truman. In the sales rep business for four years, Truman previously worked for eight years in outdoor retail and was a kayak and raft guide for many years prior to that. He is still heavily involved with paddlesports and his lines include Wenonah, Current Designs, Emotion Kayaks, MTI/Palm USA and C4 Watermen. An avid paddler and telemark skier, Tim can be reached at 317-280-0945 or tgtharv@msn.com.
