CHICAGO, IL., (September 7th, 2010) – For the second consecutive year, Reuseit.com has been named to the exclusive Inc. 500|5000 list of the nation's fastest-growing private companies. Reuseit.com is ranked 97th in the list's retail segment. The company will officially launch its new site and webstore on September 15th, capitalizing off the success of its groundbreaking website Reusablebags.com.

Reuseit.com provides information and myth-busting around wasteful consumption and has been instrumental in bringing the plastic bag issue into the mainstream discussion. The company's brand new site provides a robust “Do It Yourself” section, encouraging and empowering customers to save money and cut back on waste by reusing and upcycling the items they already own.

Reusablebags.com will relaunch soon as a hub for information on consumption issues while Reuseit.com will serve consumers looking to lessen consumption and waste in all areas of their lives with smart, solution-oriented reusable items.

The company and its ten employees operate from a downtown Chicago office, led by founder and entrepreneur, Vincent Cobb. The company was founded to provide consumers with alternatives to use-and-toss items such as plastic grocery bags, plastic utensils, bottles and take-out containers. One percent of sales are donated to the preservation and restoration of the natural environment and the company has helped a staggering 237,359 customers to eliminate 898,878,533 use-and-toss items. The company also sells a proprietary line, reuseitâ„¢, which is produced in accordance with Fair Labor/Fair Trade practices.

"Reuseit.com has always operated as a grassroots organization helping consumers reduce, reuse, and save,” said Cobb. “Our goal is to educate consumers and empower them to become more conscious consumers. Making the Inc. 500|5000 for the second year in a row is a testament to our striving to be successful while doing right by people and the environment.”

The 2010 Inc. 500|5000 is ranked according to percentage revenue growth from 2006 through 2009. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by June 30, 2006. Reuseit.com has seen 163% growth since 2006.

Vice President of Operations Bradley Nihls attributes this success to a passion for sourcing the best available products. "Cheap reusables have flooded the market, so we strive to offer our customers smart products that help them integrate reusables into every aspect of their life. Our customers are savvy and we're thrilled to offer a hand-picked selection of the best-of-the-best products available," said Nihls.

Vincent Cobb is also the original creator of the compact reusable shopping bag, launching the ACME Workhorse model in 2002. At 1.5oz, it is the lightest-weight reusable shopping bag on the market and remains one of the company's best sellers. The site's offerings also include popular consumer brands such as Klean Kanteen, Built, Envirosax, Flip & Tumble and To-Go-Ware.
