Whole foods meal-replacement bar company, PROBAR announces it is expanding its distribution network to include distributors and retailers in Canada.

Salt Lake City, Utah – May 26, 2009 – Whole foods meal-replacement bar company, PROBAR announces it is expanding its distribution network to include distributors and retailers in Canada. The Canadian debut will feature six delicious flavors: Whole Berry Blast, Art's Original Blend, Superfood Slam, Nutty Banana Boom, Cran-Lemon Twist, and Koka-Moka.

PROBAR's Canadian sales division will be led by Delena Angrignon, who has been fueling her passion for PROBAR's over the past 5 years. After meeting PROBAR president Jules Lambert on her way to the Outdoor Retailer Show in Utah, Angrignon became part of the team. “We immediately connected with her. Her commitment to eating healthy coupled with her passion for the brand inspired our partnership,” said Lambert.

Angrignon is thrilled about the PROBAR launch in Canada. “We want to give our friends north of the border the same opportunity to enjoy healthy food that you can eat on the go,” says Angrignon. “Whether you are a soccer parent trying to fuel the team in between games, a business traveler with no time to stop to grab a meal or an outdoor enthusiast that likes to spend time in nature, you want food that makes you feel good and gives you the energy to keep going. That is not always easy to do. With PROBAR you are getting a natural, whole food bar that tastes absolutely delicious! I think once they've tried a PROBAR, they'll have a new vision of what a bar can taste like.”

For the past 3 years Angrignon was employed as an event director in Whistler, BC. This experience facilitated her extensive knowledge of the outdoor industry. Additionally, Angrignon has been actively involved with helping to seed PROBAR through different outdoor retailer events, mainly in the US. Prior to that, Angrignon spent a year traveling with her husband after retiring from a 13-year career as a buyer at Costco Wholesale Canada.

The Canadian launch will target buyers and consumers at a number of trade shows and community events throughout North America. Future trade shows in 2009 include the PGA show in September, the Canadian Coffee and Tea Show in Vancouver, October 20-21, and Coffee Fest in Seattle, WA, October 25-27. In addition PROBAR will be working directly with the public at the following community events:
June 12th – Longest Day of the Year Race in Vancouver, BC.
June 26th- MEC's Paddlefest in Victoria, BC
July 5th –MEC's Paddlefest in Vancouver, BC
Aug 1-3rd – The Great Canadian Death Race in Grand Cache, Alberta

Angrignon first introduced PROBARs to Canadian consumers last April at the World Backcountry Freeride Jam in Whistler, BC, where the company sponsored free avalanche clinics held by the Canadian Avalanche Center, Ortovox, and Whistler Alpine Guides. PROBAR was also the official bar for the Canadian Ski Mountaineering Championship Race, the final event of the Canadian Ski Mountaineering Cup race series. “We gave out thousands of bars, and the response was overwhelming,” says Angrignon. “People loved them. They couldn't get enough of them.”

Known for their superior taste and unsurpassed quality, every PROBAR is made with organic, 100 percent vegan ingredients. PROBARs will be found on the shelves of Mountain Equipment Co-op and many other retailers starting this June. Retailers interested in PROBAR can reach Delena Angrignon at
