ProBar Hires Whole Foods Veteran, Matt Jimenez

PROBAR, creator of delicious and nutritious organic bars is very excited to announce the addition of Matt Jimenez to the PROBAR senior team.

Park City, Utah – PROBAR, creator of delicious and nutritious organic bars is very excited to announce the addition of Matt Jimenez to the PROBAR senior team. Jimenez, who will serve as Product Development Manager, comes to PROBAR with an impressive career in the natural food industry and a deeply imbedded passion for food.

Early career positions for Jimenez included working as a sous chef and baker before taking a transition to the retail grocery market. In 1998, he began working at the Whole Foods Market in Austin, TX climbing the ladder and assuming leadership ranks in the grocery department. In 2003, he left Whole Foods to assume a position as account manager at a brokerage firm; however Whole Foods Southeast was his main account. It was during this time that Jimenez was exposed to mass market grocers, independents, local marketing agencies and distribution centers. In 2005, Jimenez returned to the Whole Foods working as the Regional Grocery Promotions Coordinator for the Southwest region. His responsibilities included working directly with the national Whole Foods team on product selection, vendor relations, and pricing strategies. Jimenez's other extraordinary tasks include working with the International Sourcing Coordinator at Whole Foods screening potential international products as well as developing flavor profiles, SKU selection, distribution methods and pricing strategies for over hundreds of vendors.

Jimenez met Lambert in 2007 and was immediately impressed with PROBAR's product line and their commitment to natural foods and grassroots style approach to business and management. When PROBAR launched the position opening, Jimenez was immediately interested.

“My goal at PROBAR is to do good work through good food,” states Jimenez. “I believe I can bring a unique sense of insight and approach to PROBAR because of my past experience. I am very excited to be on board and look forward to growing more friendships and experience with this team.”
