POC, known for its innovation and commitment to safety announces the launch of POC Wheels in April 2009. The POC Wheels collection is specifically designed for BMX, downhill and freeride biking. The line features body armor pieces, helmets, goggles, gloves and performance apparel. POC is no stranger to the gravity sports world with a full offering of snow sports protection. Using its experience and knowledge, POC Wheels offers top of the line products with the highest quality of protection.

Collection Highlights:

The Cortex DH helmet is a lightweight carbon shell wrapped over POC's patent pending Aramid reinforced in-mold liner. The liner has a thin shell of polycarbonate covering the multi-impact Super EPP core. The helmet provides exceptional levels of impact energy management and penetration resistance while the double overlapping shell design, patented Ventilated-Double-Shell-Anti-Penetration (VDSAP) allows for a fully ventilated construction for maximum comfort. MSRP: $525.00

The Bone Leg is a knee/shin guard with shields made of sturdy Polypropylene and the inside of highly ventilated comfort lining. The top piece protecting the knee is made of Visco-Elastic Polymer Dough (VPD). Fit and mobility is crucial without sacrificing protection. The Bone Leg features a detachable calf protector that protects you if and when your pedal hits you from behind. MSRP: $120.00

The Index DH is a durable, high protection, supple glove for downhill and freeride. An inserted hard shield provides lasting protection for your knuckles to avoid bruises, cuts and to absorb energy on impact. The knuckle protector is foam coated on the inside to provide additional comfort to the user. The palm side is made of grippy Pittards® and digital leather. MSRP: $88.00

The Iris DH goggle is designed to optimize visibility by stressing size and angles without comprising fit. The goggles are also designed to follow the shape of POC helmets perfectly. The frames are made of flexible polyurethane, and two tear-off lenses come in optical clear and penetration resistant polycarbonate that is anti-fog treated. Goggle straps use a silicone strip on the inside, to stick to your helmet. The face foam has a special insert of Coolmax fabric to minimize sweat and to wick away moisture. MSRP: $100.00

POC places a substantial amount of importance on making sure its products are made with state of the art materials, offer extreme comfort, and provide an optimal fit for every individual. To check out the entire POC Wheels collection, click here.
