(Portsmouth, N.H.) – After two days of BMX Park competition, POC team rider Daniel Dhers of Buenos Aires, pulls off a last minute victory at the 4th Annual Action Sports Dew Tour (AST) in Baltimore, MD this past weekend. The Panasonic Open is the first-stop on the five series Dew Tour; next up is the Right Guard Open in Cleveland, OH, July 17-20.

"This win is a great way to start the series," says Dhers. "I was really disappointed after my first run since I couldn't seem to stick my landings. I was stoked to get it together for the finals and pull it all off."

Dhers, 22, was born in Caracas, Venezuela and has been biking for close to ten years. He came onto the competitive BMX Park scene approximately 2 years ago. Through his unwavering dedication to his training, he has really made a name for himself. In 2007, Dhers won 3 out of 5 AST Dew Tour stops, the Dew Cup BMX Park overall, the X-Games 13, and the Masters in Germany.

Dhers is a POC athlete and wears POC's Receptor + helmet, a multidiscipline helmet that meets the diverse certification requirements needed for different disciplines. The helmet can be used for snow sports, biking, skateboarding and water sports.

"We are lucky to have such a strong team of athletes wearing POC," notes Jarka Duba, CEO of POC USA. "Daniel's impressive win is just the first of many podiums that we at POC expect to be a part of this year."
