SALT LAKE CITY – A unique way to increase booth traffic at the the upcoming Outdoor Retailer Summer Market show is being hatched by Summit Distribution and Adventure 16 Wholesale, and attendees of the show stand to be the biggest benefactors of the initiative.

More than 70 brands – from iconic outdoor industry staples to smaller up-and-comers – are taking part in The Passport Program, designed to spur booth visits throughout the entire show. The Passport Program is built around a simple idea: The more stamps an OR showgoer gets in their passport, the higher their chances of winning daily prizes.

“We’ve come up with a way to reward people who visit booths of the companies we work with,” said Larry Locks, CEO of Summit Distribution and A16 Wholesale. “It’s really a great reminder for folks to see the latest products from some of the most innovative brands in the outdoor industry. The bonus is in doing so, you get a chance to win some really terrific items.”

The prize vault includes outdoor gear, travel packages, guided trips, action cameras and more. All told, the value of prizes being awarded in the Passport Program is in excess of $22,000.

A limited number of copies of the passport book will be available at Outdoor Retailer. The books will be available near the Salt Palace’s main entrance for the first three days of the show, as well as the Tech Zone booth (#PV3143). Passports will also be available at select coffee carts on the show floor and in the Summit/A16 booth (#13012).

To be eligible to win, OR attendees need to follow these simple rules:

1. Visit the manufacturers represented in the passport book and receive their signature as proof of visit.

2. Return to the Summit Distribution Tech Zone (#PV3143) located in the Pavilion and earn one raffle ticket for every manufacturer visited. Prize winners are drawn every day at 5 p.m.

The Passport Program is open to all registered attendees of Outdoor Retailer. There will be three daily drawings (Aug. 6,7,8) in the Tech Zone booth (#PV3143) and participants must be present to win. Prizes may not be substituted or exchanged.
