Outdoor Research, manufacturer of functional solutions for human powered adventure, today announced that that effective January 2009, Mike Hattrup will begin a new consulting relationship with the Seattle based company. “Mike’s diverse experience within the ski industry will contribute valuable insight on an already strong line of products,” said Christian Folk, PR Coordinator of Outdoor Research, adding, “Mike has been a pioneer in the evolution of skiing. From the birth of freeride to an AMGA adventure ski guide, Mike’s a great fit for the Outdoor Research approach and position”

Hattrup, a legend in extreme skiing with a career spanning more than two decades, previously partnered with Outdoor Research during the mid-1990’s. Hattrup is excited to reignite a relationship with OR, noting “I wanted to work with Outdoor Research again because I like the direction the company is going. OR is a great brand that’s small and agile and has a history of making truly functional products.” Hattrup adds, “I’m excited to help build a progressive line of clothing that incorporates backcountry features with free ride fit and styling.”
