MiiR Bottles has launched a social media campaign that focuses on clean water for underdeveloped countries, with the goal of building at least one freshwater well in an African village by the end of the month. In addition to the company's ongoing one4one program where one dollar from every bottle purchased goes toward the purchase of clean water through mycharitywater.org/miir, MiiR is also contributing one dollar for every new Facebook fan during the month of September.

“Nearly one billion people struggle to survive everyday because they don't have access to clean, safe drinking water,” says Bryan Papé, MiiR Founder and CEO. “One dollar of each MiiR bottle purchased provides one person with clean water for one year. Roughly $5,000 can build a freshwater well in a village and provide over 250 people with clean drinking water for 20 years. We're hoping this campaign will put us on the path to build one or maybe two wells by the end of the September.”

To help MiiR reach their goal of building a freshwater well this month, go to miir.com and purchase your customized MiiR Bottle. Or simply “like” MiiR Bottles on facebook at facebook.com/miirbottles. MiiR has also partnered with actbolder.com this month with a challenge to ditch bottled water for a day. Those who accept the challenge will receive 30 percent off their MiiR Bottle.
