Kayland today unveils its 2010 footwear line, including an evolution of the bestselling Contact backpacking boot; and a collection of multiactivity shoes including a backpacking shoe, a hiking shoe, new trail runners, and a stylish and versatile approach shoe.

“Our Contact backpacking boot has been a Kayland global bestseller for seven years, so we are confident that the lighter, more breathable Contact Rev will be well received,” explained Brent Merriam vice president of Novation North America, Inc., the US subsidiary of Kayland’s parent company, Novation S.p.A. “For 2010, we also focused on enhancing our multiactivity line. The Crest, a shoe ideal for light backpacking, is designed to offer stability on difficult and slippery terrain. An upper in water repellent suede leather, a breathable and light mesh lining, hand applied rubber toe bumper, and a gusseted tongue protect comfortably against the elements.
