Innova Kayak to Launch PVC Free 'Swing I & II' at Outdoor Retailer Summer Market 2011
BURLINGTON, Wa. - July 26, 2011 -Innova Kayak will debut a pair of new boats at Outdoor Retailer Summer Market next week, announcing the lightest inflatable, decked boats ever seen in the paddlesports industry.
The Swing I and Swing II are designed to meet the PVC-free standards that progressive dealers and consumers demand and offer the performance benefits of a decked boat while weighing less than half that of many comparable hard shell boats. The 10-foot, 6-inch Swing I tips the scales at 22 pounds and the 13-foot Swing II, a double, is 26 pounds.
With a 10-minute setup time, the Swing models feature three separate air chambers, a urethane-coated deck skin supported by lightweight aluminum arches and zippered access for below-deck storage. Unlike the bulky bladder construction used in some inflatable kayaks, the Swings are quick drying with Dupont Teflon treatment on the LitePack hull fabric.
Designed for recreational and touring paddlers seeking the dry cockpit and storage benefits of a decked boat, the Swing models are fast and stable and have optional spray skirt and tracking fins to make them more versatile.
Innova Kayak's inflatable, portable designs allow paddlers without access to adequate storage, or close proximity to a good put-in, a capable kayak that combines durability and performance with easy-to-use features. Able to fit in the overhead bin of many commercial airliners, Innova kayaks allow paddlers to enjoy their passion anywhere.
