Industrial Revolution, manufacturers of UCO and Pedco products, in addition to managing U.S. distribution for Light My Fire, Grilliput and Swiss Spice, announced the hire of a new senior-level sales and marketing manager at the company's Washington-based headquarters. Matt Dekker brings years of experience from the outdoor and sporting goods industry and will serve to further integrate Industrial Revolution and their family of brands into the outdoor market.
Industrial Revolution is known for creating and distributing innovative products ranging from the Light My FireTM Spork to the Play and FreezeTM Ice Cream Maker and the PedcoTM UltraPod. Their brands are well known in several markets to date, such as housewares, cooking, hunting, fishing, novelty, lifestyle and photo. Industrial Revolution hopes to continue their growth pattern in the outdoor market with the strategic decision by hiring Dekker as a senior level sales and marketing manager.
Dekker has spent upwards of 25 years in retail sales and customer service within the bicycle industry, as well as distribution, manufacturing, and importing/exporting. Before joining the team at Industrial Revolution, Dekker worked for Raleigh America's national accounts department as category manager and marketing specialist, which involved servicing sporting goods and outdoor accounts like Dick's Sporting Goods, Sports Authority, Bass Pro, Sport Chalet and the Military Exchanges, among others.
“Matt's experience will help us to better serve key customers in the cycling arena and the broader outdoor market. He is adept at building relationships with key stakeholders, which will improve retail sell-through of the entire Industrial Revolution product line,†says Steve Llorente, director of sales and marketing.
Based in Redwood, WA, Industrial Revolution currently employs roughly 15 employees and has experienced consistent growth to warrant creating a new senior level sales and marketing position. Dekker will be primarily focused on managing the company's larger clients as well as growing brands like Pedco in targeted markets, including outdoor and photography demographics.
The decision marks an exciting time of growth and expansion for Industrial Revolution, who was recently listed as one of the fastest growing, privately held companies in Washington. Dekker is based in Bellevue, Wash. and enjoys Scouting, youth sports, cycling and hiking with his family.
