HOKA ONE ONE® Wins Competitor Magazine Best Innovation Award for the Conquest


Richmond, CA (April 1, 2014)HOKA ONE ONE®, a division of Deckers Outdoor Corporation (NASDAQ : DECK), is proud to announce it has received the prestigious 2014 Competitor Magazine Fit, Feel, Ride Award for Best Innovation for its newest shoe, the Conquest.

The Conquest received the Fit, Feel, Ride Award for Best Innovation based on its unique design and performance characteristics, which are a result of its engineered geometry, its innovative RMAT™ midsole material, and the shoe’s inherent stability and smooth ride.

The newest model in the HOKA ONE ONE stable for Spring 2014, the Conquest beat out all of other shoes in the test for its exceptional fit, feel, and ride.

“Beginning in the fall, we put more than 50 shoe models through thousands of miles of wear-testing runs to determine the ones we deemed the best in several categories. The Conquest was notable for its soft cushioning, comfortable fit, smooth ride, and surprising stability and agility, all of which were factors that contributed to it earning the award,” said Brian Metzler, Editor-in-Chief at Competitor Magazine.

 Wear testers agreed that the oversized geometry and soft cushioning of the Conquest offered inherent stability coupled with a pillowy ride. Additionally, testers thought the slightly rockered profile added to the easy-rolling sensation from heel strike to toe-off. Competitor wear-testers loved it for long runs and recovery runs, and several found it to be responsive enough for faster running.
