Oboz’ new line of do-it-all Trailsport shoes take it to the trail and more with a go-fast, low profile design that balances weight savings with crucial foot protection and ample, trusty grip. The multi-tasking shoes are well-suited for hiking, scrambling, bagging peaks, in and out of water, trail running, hopping on a bike and more. Three new styles for Spring 2015 include the women’s Emerald Peak, men’s Sundog and men’s Palisade.
Oboz will show its new Trailsport and other styles at the Outdoor Retailer Show in August in Booth BR401.
Common features and benefits of the three shoes are:
- Hyalite outsole design offers aggressive traction from 4mm deep lugs yet flexes naturally and has a light feel for the ground
- Single piece mesh uppers have essential structure and conform to give a custom feel and fit
- Ultra breathable mesh and unlined forefoot promotes air flow
- Forefoot protection comes from a light, compressed EVA Super Skin (ESS) plate
- Dual density EVA midsole cushions the foot and nylon shank stabilizes the shoe
- BFIT™ Essential insole comfort and supports foot with minimal added weight
Women’s Emerald Peak
In addition to the features above, the Emerald Peak for women supports the foot with a structural cage of welded TPU. A neoprene mini-collar makes for sock-free comfort and helps keep trail debris out of the shoe. The toe and heel get extra coverage, protection and durability from synthetic leather overlays. In three colors. Estimated weight is 9.3 oz. per 1/2 pair women's size 7.
The Sundog keeps it simple with a basic mesh upper that conforms readily to the foot. Synthetic leather bolsters durability and protection of the toe, heel and midfoot areas. The shoe is lined in the heel, leaving the midfoot and toe area unlined for improved ventilation. Estimated weight is 11 oz. per 1/2 pair men's size 9. In two colors.
The Men’s Palisade has welded TPU overlays that add structural support to the mesh upper. At the heel and toe, protective synthetic leather overlays add durability and keep the trails bumps and stumps at bay. Textile mesh lines the heel area for interior durability, and the neoprene collar’s snug fit keeps trail detritus out and lends extra comfort around the ankle. Estimated weight is 11.1 oz. per 1/2 pair men's size 9.
