Catapult Innovation Labs Launches “Survive And Thrive” Online Workshops For Outdoor Recreation Startups Facing Covid-19 Uncertainty

Catapult Innovation Labs, the only national community for entrepreneurs in the outdoor recreation industry, announces the launch of a new series of online workshops focused on helping outdoor recreation industry startups manage through the uncertainties of Covid-19. Catapult Innovation Labs is a partnership with Active Interest Media (AIM), Catapult Creative Labs, and Carabiner Outdoors.

The online workshops are open to all outdoor recreation industry startup Founders, with a special focus on supporting start-ups with $250K - $1MM annual revenue.

Sessions are free to attend, and will provide practical advice from industry experts and other startup Founders on topics like:

  • What funding resources are available to help us weather the economic challenges?
  • How can we best lead and support our teams when workplaces have changed fundamentally, from staffing concerns to remote work?
  • How can we move fast and pivot to solve our customers’ problems as their lives have changed?
  • What types of supply chain interruptions can we expect, and how do we manage through them?

With the recent challenges of Covid-19 it is now -- more than ever -- critical to provide training and resources to start up Founders so they may continue to thrive.”

The online programs will occur weekly in April and target specific and actionable business challenges.

The first session, “NOW WHAT?? Navigating Funding in Uncertain Times,” will be Monday, April 6th at 1:00 p.m. (ET), and features funding experts Burl Kelton from the Small Business Administration and Jamie Finney from Greater Colorado Venture Fund, as well as startup Founders Jonathan Ballesteros of Geyser Systems and Heather Kelly of Heather’s Choice.

Future topics include: evaluating and implementing business pivots, navigating supply chain challenges, and effective team leadership. Sessions will be recorded and available online afterwards.

Catapult Innovation Labs will be launching additional types of programming to support start-up Founders in the coming months, including a second cohort of the very successful multi-week intensive Outdoor Accelerator program launched in 2019.
