SNEWS® Live:  Ultra distance runner Dean Karnazes wants to inspire America to go out and get some exercise. So to prove the point in 2006, he traveled to each of the 50 states, over 50 consecutive days and ran 50 marathons. It was called the Endurance 50 and the journey spanned over 1,300 miles. More than 1,000 people around the country come out to run with Karnazes. Thousands more followed his progress online or came out to cheer as he came through their communities.

While the story in itself is amazing, what was truly remarkable was the impact this feat had on those who watched and participated. SNEWS® Live connected with Karnazes as well as a few of the people whose lives he touched, as well those who impressed him.
