The Biggest Loser® Winners Get Spinning® Certified in Miami
Season four twin winners to get Spinning® certification at WSSC event

VENICE, CA, For immediate release – NBC's The Biggest Loser® season four winner and his twin brother will be attending the Spinning® Instructor Orientation May 28th at the World Spinning® and Sports Conference (WSSC) in Miami, Florida. Jim and Bill Germanakos will join the over 200,000 Spinning Instructors around the globe. As the world's largest Spinning® and fitness education conference, WSSC has brought thousands of fitness professionals to Miami over the past 10 years for continuing education, training and certifications. WSSC is held at the downtown Hotel InterContinental on Chopin Plaza and is open to the public with day passes available. At the time of this release, a limited number of seats are still available for this special Spinning Instructor Orientation with Bill and Jim.

Bill Germanakos, winner of season four on NBC's The Biggest Loser is excited about getting certified as a Spinning instructor: “Winning The Biggest Loser was an incredible, inspirational experience that left me yearning to spread the word about fitness. My brother Jim and I used Spinner® bikes as a primary way to burn calories and increase our cardiovascular strength during the competition, and continue to do so now that we're maintaining healthy lifestyles. Now that I'm often on the road motivating others, I search for Spinning classes in gyms all over the country. I often get asked to lead the Spinning class, but have had to decline because of the fact that I'm not a certified Spinning instructor. Going through Instructor Orientation at WSSC in Miami is going to allow us to touch more lives, as we spread the word about Spinning and the fact that anyone can achieve their fitness dreams.”

Spinner brand indoor cycles have been a long-time fixture heavily relied upon by Biggest Loser trainers Bob Harper and Jillian Michaels. In fact, Bob is a Spinning instructor himself and an outspoken advocate of Spinning as an efficient fun way to burn calories. He had this to say on one Biggest Loser Club video: “I love this Spinner bike. It is one of the best exercises that you can give your body—ask any single contestant that has ever been on The Biggest Loser. Let me tell you some of the benefits: It gets your weight off of your knees and ankles, and let me tell you, at The Biggest Loser, that's one of the best things to be able to do because there is so much pressure, with all the weight on their knees and their joints. This will also burn at least 500 calories in about 30 minutes. It's like riding a bike out on the road but without all the terrain. And you can get the best workout and one of the best sweats you've ever gotten on a Spinner bike. I even teach a Spinning class here in California once a week. I've been doing it for, I don't know, a hundred years … I don't want to feel like I could ever give that thing up because I love it. I love the people; I love the energy. For me, it's all about tapping into that inner athlete that we all have.”
