(Vail, Colo.) – The Teva Mountain Games presented by Volkswagen®, the country's largest adventure sports festival, has partnered with multi-media adventure hub, OutYo.com, to build an online community for the athletes, artists and fans of the event. OutYo's unique, proprietary technology is powering www.tevamountaingames.com and the website is now accepting online submissions of adventure films and photos as well as online Everest Award nominations.

“The Teva Mountain Games is an iconic event in the outdoor industry and this partnership allows us to showcase our technology to a targeted audience of outdoor enthusiasts,” states Philip Drake of Stellar Transmedia, which launched OutYo.com this February. “OutYo gives the Mountain Games an opportunity to seamlessly build robust, user-submitted content and establish a year-round community for the event.”

This year, rather than deal with the hassle of mailing slides or emailing digital images, photographers can instantly upload photo submissions for the fourth annual Zest® for Adventure Photography Competition at the Mountain Games. Photographers can submit photos in one of six categories and a public online vote will determine the finalists. A $5,000 cash purse for the photography competition is on the line.

The Mountain Games website is also accepting online submissions for the DeLaVergne Filmmaker's Shootout presented by [yellow tail]® wines. Filmmakers can upload a three-to-five minute film featuring any outdoor adventure sport or lifestyle. A jury will select the top three finalists and the winner of the $2,500 prize will be determined with an online vote. The deadline for both film and photo submissions is May 11.

Lastly, the Teva Mountain Games is now accepting online nominations for the annual Everest Awards presented by Zest®. The Everest Awards is a formal event recognizing the year's best adventure athletes in each of the sports represented at the Mountain Games. Finalists will be profiled on the Teva Mountain Games website and this year's Everest Award winners will be announced on Friday, June 1 at the Ford Amphitheater. Proceeds from the event will go to the Waterkeeper Alliance.

About the Mountain Games
Now in its sixth year, the Mountain Games features 20 different amateur and professional organic action sports competitions including kayaking, rafting, rock climbing, mountain biking, road biking, trail running and fly-fishing. The event also features outdoor film and photography contests, the annual Everest Awards, an interactive expo and demo area, live music and parties for both athletes and spectators alike.
