IRVINE, Calif., March 16, 2011 - Star Trac, a global leader in the commercial fitness industry, announced today the launch of a new plate-loaded strength training line called Leverage. The company and Mad Dogg Athletics, Inc. also announced the launch of the next generation of Spinner® bikes including the new Spinner® NXT and Spinner® Pro, the number one and number two best selling bikes in the world, and the brand new Spinner® Blade, with a patent-pending drive train that redefines reliability and safety.
Star Trac's Leverage line embodies the design and features that will redefine the plate loaded strength training category. This line is designed to work more efficiently with human biomechanics by matching the natural muscle strength profiles of specific movements, using a one-of-a-kind lever and cam system. Star Trac will premier five of the eight Leverage pieces at the IHRSA trade show in San Francisco. The following pieces will be available for facility owners and operators to test while at the show; Chest Press, Incline Press, Shoulder Press, Lat Pull Down and Low Row. Three additional models of the strength line will be available for order in 60-90 days; High Row, Decline Press and Bicep Curl.
Star Trac and Mad Dogg Athletics are also introducing the next generation of Spinner® bikes. As the global leaders in group cycling, the two companies continue to lead the competition in design innovation with the introduction of the new Spinner® Pro and Spinner® NXT, and the brand new Spinner® Blade.
Created to emphasize education, authenticity and reliability, the new Spinner® bikes provide incomparable benefits for both fitness facility owners and bike users. Mad Dogg Athletics provides customers with access to the best group cycling certification program in the industry, supported by live training with advanced programming and continuing education. Star Trac's strict adherence to authenticity in the new line creates a superior Spinning® experience for all users. Designed with biomechanics that work more efficiently with the human body, the new Spinner® bikes are closer to a traditional road bike than ever before and are customizable to body type through superior bike fit. In addition to the improved fit and feel of the new generation Spinner® bikes, these bikes are more robust than any product on the market. While group cycles typically use traditional bike parts, such as pedals and bottom brackets, the new Spinner® bikes utilize heavy-industry equipment design methodologies, creating a reliable product that withstands the daily usage demanded in a fitness facility setting.
