Waco, TX –With the launch of its Q Factor™ Cushioning insole, designed specifically for women in January 2006, Spenco Medical Corporation developed the Spenco® Pink Ribbon Program whereby the company will donate a portion of its Q Factor™ sales to actively support the ongoing awareness of, and fight against breast cancer.

At the end of each year, an internal committee meets to select which foundation, or group of foundations, will receive these contributions. To date, Spenco has donated funds from its Pink Ribbon program, totaling over $30,000, to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, and the sponsorship of a local Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure® to be held in Waco, TX on March 31, 2007.

“We wanted to give back on a national and local level,” said Talia Herman, Spenco Marketing Manager, Sports and Specialty. “The National Breast Cancer Foundation is a great fit as 80% of the money is used to benefit free mammograms to needy women, educational programs and cancer research projects. The Susan G. Komen Central Texas Race for the Cure® in Waco is supporting breast cancer awareness in our own back yard.”

Spenco Medical Corporation was founded in 1967 by Dr. Wayman Spence, a renowned foot care specialist. For 40 years, Spenco has focused on innovative product development and superior service to differentiate itself in the outdoor, sports, foot care and medical markets.
