BACKPACKER’s nationwide Get Out More Tour was transformed into a virtual platform for 2020 resulting in Get Out More TV reaching the largest audience in the history of the program, a momentous milestone for the program’s 20 Anniversary. The growth of the weekly TV program can be seen in both the expanding number of weekly viewers and through the addition of category leading brand partner, Sea to Summit. Sea to Summit will be featured throughout the remainder of the 15 episode series, joining the impressive lineup of industry partners Darn Tough, Jetboil, LEKI, Mystery Ranch Backpacks, Oboz Footwear, Sawyer Products, Visit NC Smokies, and Yellowstone Select Kentucky Bourbon to utilize the informative and inspiring program in support of their valued specialty retailer vendors.

Created to spark the adventurous spirits of the nation’s outdoor adventure enthusiasts, each unique episode of the fifteen-week series features a different regional backpacking destination, visually-inspiring highlights from the trail, skills every backpacker should know, and a variety of gear segments, all designed to both educate and motivate. Seasoned BACKPACKER Ambassador, Randy Propster hosts the series that follows the on-trail adventures of fellow Ambassadors Steve Yocom and Jordan Meeks (and their four-legged friends, Cain and Sage). Weaved amongst the trail highlights, episodes include interviews with outdoor experts, brand representatives and gear designers, as well as skills demonstrations and recurring gear focused segments including Camp Comforts, Forgotten Features, Closer Look, Just the Specs, Dodging Pitfalls, and Instant Upgrades.

“The addition of Sea to Summit at this point in the series speaks both to the proven early success of the weekly virtual platform and to the continued authenticity of the programs content,” said Randy Propster, host of the inaugural virtual season. “When I look back at the past fourteen years of my career with BACKPACKER and the hundreds of nights I’ve spent in camp and on the trail, I’d have a really tough time identifying a single trip that didn’t include a gear option from Sea to Summit. They’ve developed so many solutions for outdoor enthusiasts and my own experience has been enhanced by their products time and time again. I want to share those gear choices with our audience so they too can enhance their experiences, feel more comfortable, have more confidence, and actually be safer during their adventures. Sea to Summit’s vast product line-up and award winning innovations make that an easy and authentic conversation to have with our audience.”

BACKPACKER premieres each episode in a “live” format on their Facebook, IGTV, and YouTube channel each Thursday night at 7:30 PM EDT enabling real time Q&A interactions with viewers and weekly contests with prizes from their brand partners.
