V.I.O. Inc., the industry leader of wearable point-of-view video technology, announced today they are teaming up with Rossignol for the upcoming 2008 winter season. Rossignol Team members across the globe will wear the new POV.1 video system to capture and broadcast the year's hottest ski and snowboard footage for online viewers at Rossignol.com and partnering websites.

The POV.1 from V.I.O. is built for one purpose: capturing hands-free video from the most thrilling point of view – yours. It's a fully integrated, digital point-of-view (POV) video system that's waterproof, dustproof and shock-resistant. The system includes a mountable camera head, built-in video recorder with LCD screen, wireless remote and software for managing point-of-view videos.

"Over the past few years I have been using V.I.O products to capture my point-of-view footage,” said Rossignol Team Member, Sage Cattabriga-Alosa. “They have the best product in the industry and are focused on future innovations. Partnering with Rossignol will be a perfect match and I'm excited to continue to capture and share my unique perspective in the mountains."

“We couldn't be more excited about this opportunity to partner with Rossignol and their athletes,” said David Ollila, President of V.I.O. “Combining their equipment and athletes with the latest technology in V.I.O. POV cameras, we're talking dynamite footage all winter long for online viewers.”
