V.I.O. Inc., the leading innovator of hands-free, point-of-view video technology, has added ski BASE pioneer Erik Roner and freesking superstar Sage Cattabriga-Alosa to its POV.1 professional team.

“We couldn't be more excited about the opportunity to sponsor Erik and Sage as V.I.O. team members,” said David Ollila, President of V.I.O. “Both of these freeski athletes personify smooth and powerful style while pushing the limits of the sport. We can't wait to see the footage they bring back with the new POV.1”

Erik Roner has been skiing professionally for five years and is one of the pioneers of ski BASE jumping. Traveling the globe each winter, he has been featured in the last four Teton Gravity Research films ski BASE jumping off huge first descent cliffs.

"I am super excited to be a part of the V.I.O. team,” says Roner. “They are at the forefront of helmet camera technology with great vision and dedication to create the best products. I am pumped to share my thoughts and ideas with such a great company."

Sage Cattabriga-Alosa was a ski-obsessed kid growing up in Alta, Wyoming. Specializing in backcountry gap jumps, skiing big mountain lines and combining tricks with cliff drops, Sage travels all over the world to film segments for numerous production companies, such a Teton Gravity Research and Volume Video Magazine. In 2004 he won Best Male Performance from Powder magazine's video awards. Sage now splits his time between Utah's deep winters and Bend, Oregon's perfect summers.

"Over the past few years I have been using V.I.O products to capture my point-of-view footage,” said Sage Cattabriga-Alosa. “They have the best product in the industry and are focused on future innovations. Partnering with V.I.O. will be a perfect match and I'm excited to continue to capture and share my unique perspective in the mountains."
