Picture Organic Clothing, makers of organic, recycled, and bio-sourced products for outdoor sports, proudly introduces an atypical approach to snow stoke in its first full-length film: IN GORA. Directed by Andy Collet, this film follows skiers and snowboarders from the Picture family as they hop on board Let’s Be Nomad’s “adventure hostel on wheels” for a month-long journey through Europe.

THE BUS

Val and Tim, a self-proclaimed “modern nomad couple,” live in a refurbished American school bus in search of a more meaningful way of life. Like #vanlife on steroids, they invite others to join them in continual pursuit of their truest passions: shredding pow, preserving nature, and promoting social good. Utilizing solar power and compostable toilets, the traveling hostel follows the sustainability ethos - Reduce what you can, offset what you can’t - neutralizing their emissions through a non-profit offsetting company, called Carbonfund.

THE ADVENTURE

Seven Picture skiers and snowboards spend one month with the Nomads, traveling through Austria, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Macedonia, and Montenegro. They seek and find fresh tracks in remote areas, experiences with locals, stunning landscapes, environmental education and activism, laughter, love, and pow. Of course, it’s not all rainbows and unicorns - no road trip is complete without mishaps and wrong turns, and life in a bus like this is anything but ordinary.

“The spirit of the In Gora adventure embodies what Picture has set as our mission from day one: To ride, protect, and share,” says Picture founder, Julien Durant. “These are different people, engulfed in different cultures, a different way of living, even a love of different snowsports, but they all live by that same mission. We hope it inspires people and makes people think about their own lives.”

THE MEANING

Translated from Cyrillic script, GORA means “mountain” in Macedonian and “forest” in Bulgarian. But this word carries much greater meaning than the literal translation. As these riders learn from their life-altering journey, the spiritual context refers to the energy released by nature and is associated with the people who care about it.

THE RELEASE

IN GORA will premier in the US at Denver’s First Chair Festival on October 7th, 2017. After that, it will be available for a 24-hour free download at the end of the month (date TBD), and then for purchase.

About Picture

Picture Organic Clothing is the story of three childhood friends: Vincent, Julien and Jeremy. They come from various backgrounds, but share a love for board sports: on snow, water and asphalt. In 2008, they launched a board sports brand decidedly different from the rest: colorful, offbeat, and completely eco-friendly and ethical. Hailing from Clermont-Ferrand, the trio overturns conventional ideas about so-called “green” fashion. And ever since, with their alternative, original image, they’ve taken on the heavyweights of the outerwear market. Today, Picture Organic Clothing is offered at over 850 retailers and 33 countries.
