Paddler Magazine Names Glen Bernard as New Publisher and General Manager

Paddlesport Publishing, Inc., publisher of Paddler and Paddle Dealer magazines, announce that they have hired paddlesports industry veteran Glen Bernard as their publisher and general manager.

Springfield, VA; Kirkland, WA – Paddlesport Publishing, Inc., publisher of Paddler and Paddle Dealer magazines, announce that they have hired paddlesports industry veteran Glen Bernard as their publisher and general manager. Bernard, who managed Canoe & Kayak Magazine for 19 years, takes over publishing management duties for Paddlesport Publishing whose former publisher left to pursue other business interests.

“I am thrilled to be back in the paddlesports outdoor market and with the prospects of growing Paddler, enhancing its editorial reputation, and making it the market's number one title” stated Glen Bernard. “We have big plans for the future of Paddler and Paddlesport Publishing and know there's a lot of work to do to ensure that our readers and advertisers get the highest value and the best product on the market. But any time that you can tie together what you do for a living with what you're passionate about, there are few limits to what can be accomplished!”

Pamela Dillon, Paddlesport Publishing's CEO, states “It's great having Glen on board as our new publisher. With his passion for paddling and extensive publishing experience, he's successfully built award-winning publications and great publishing teams. He is now putting together a talented team of paddlesports publishing pros and will be refocusing the direction of Paddler to better reflect the interests of the majority of our readership. It all comes down to reader satisfaction.” Dillon said that a reader survey is planned for the next available issue, January/February 2007.

With a total circulation of approximately 50,000 and readership of 115,000, Paddler is published 6 times per year and Paddle Dealer is distributed quarterly as the paddlesports market's most widely read trade publication.
