Native Eyewear Creates Inaugural “Giveback Grant” for Whitefish, Montana
$5,000 to be awarded to one local Whitefish, MT organization
Denver, CO (September 27, 2012) – Today Native Eyewear, makers of high-performance, polarized sunglasses for adventures of all types, announced the creation of the “Giveback Grant” for one deserving group in Whitefish, Montana. Any local organization can apply for the $5,000 grant simply by visiting the tab on the Native Eyewear Facebook page by October 5th, and submitting, in 500 words or less, why they deserve the grant and how they plan to use it.
The “Giveback Grant” program is Native Eyewear’s show of appreciation and thank you to the Whitefish community for their hospitality and participation in the 2012 edition of the Locals Only Project. The grant program marks the culmination of a 4-month relationship with the town and residents of Whitefish, MT.
“Native couldn’t be more excited to give back and serve a town that gave us so much,” says Alicia Brossart, Native Eyewear’s Marketing Manager. “The Giveback Grant program allows us to continue to cultivate the partnership that began months ago with the Locals Only Project. As soon as we arrived in town, we felt welcomed by the people of Whitefish and in turn, thanks to the remarkable local talent, we were able to capture incredible content for our catalog and fans.”
The Locals Only Project is a fan driver program that seeks to find the best mountain towns, the best local talent and the best local adventures- all through fan nomination and votes. Native then works with the locals to create content for their annual catalog and marketing materials by letting the community tell their stories that embody the Native Eyewear brand of adventure, fun and the mountain lifestyle. In it’s third year of the Locals Only Project, Native Eyewear has traveled to Boulder, CO, Hood River, OR and is wrapping up this year in Whitefish, MT
Any local Whitefish, MT organization is eligible for the “Giveback Grant” and deadline for submissions is October 5, 2012. Submissions can be sent via email to: email@example.com or by visiting the Native Eyewear Facebook page.
The top 5 organizations will be announced October 26, 2012 and people can then rally support for their favorite organization via Facebook until November 7th, 2012.
