Marker-Völkl Stars JF Houle and Russ Henshaw to Compete

Hosted by Marker-Völkl rider Nico Zacek, Nine Knights has come to represent one of the most creative and impressive freeskiing sessions in the sport.

Marker-Völkl's JF Houle and Russ Henshaw will compete in the fourth annual Suzuki Nine Knights competition to be held in Oberstdorf, Germany between April 11th and 16th.

The Nine Knights event, co-sponsored by Marker-Völkl, brings nine of the world's most talented freeskiers together to test the boundaries of their talent and creativity. Held at the Nebelhorn, the competition centers around the “Castle”, a comprehensive jump structure that seamlessly integrates kickers and jib features to create an intensely challenging venue.

Built by Schneestern, a Kempten, Germany based site architect, the Castle, unique to the Nine Knights event, is specifically designed to push freeskiing innovation. It also provides perhaps the most visually unique venue on the circuit, yielding impressive backdrops for both video and still photos.

“We're very excited about JF Houle's big win at the X Games earlier this month, and look forward to seeing more extraordinary freeskiing from him and the other Marker-Völkl competitors - Russ Henshaw, Paddy Graham and event host Nico Zacek – when the Nine Knights convene next month in Oberstdorf,” said Chris Adams, Director of Promotion at Marker-Völkl USA. “Whenever this kind of talent comes together you always see them push one another and advance the sport,” he added.
