As part of the collaboration, the two Seattle-based companies will cross promote each other's products and services while offering active athletes the chance to win and attend a six-day glacial mountaineering course.

The winner will also receive gear from Helly Hansen and MSR. The winning entry will be chosen from online and in-store entries on July 31, 2009.
The Glacier Mountaineering Course is set in a spectacular environment in the North Cascades where active glaciers, volcanic peaks, and breathtaking views create the ideal learning environment for climbers. With at five-to-one, client-to-guide ratio, it is designed for beginners aspiring to learn the fundamental skills of snow, ice, glacier, in-depth crevasse rescue, and rock climbing techniques. A summit attempt at the end of the course gives students the chance to put their newly developed skills to the test. The final day is reserved as a backup summit day or as a chance to learn basic rock climbing techniques at the scenic Mt. Erie located near the San Juan Islands.
The goal of the training is to develop safe, self-reliant alpine climbers ready to climb locally or in the greater ranges of the world.
