Filson, a leading outfitter designed for hunting, fishing and outdoor enthusiasts, will be a featured company on “John Ratzenberger's Made in America,” airing Tuesday, June 12th at 9 p.m. ET/PT on the Travel Channel. The program spotlights distinctly American companies and products. Filson, founded in 1897, is featured for standing out in the apparel industry for manufacturing its respected outdoor apparel at its Seattle facility.

“We are honored to be recognized for doing what comes naturally to us,” said Bill Kulczycki, president and CEO of Filson. “Filson's heritage of providing the most durable, rugged classic clothing available to outdoor enthusiasts lies in its storied past as an outfitter to the miners who came West for the Klondike Gold Rush. We have maintained this commitment to quality for more than one hundred years. A key reason we have been able to achieve this consistency is because our Seattle factory has workers skilled in manufacturing heavyweight wool apparel, waxed cotton garments and rugged twill luggage with bridle leather trim. Frankly, we have found that the Filson factory is one of the few in the world that can produce and deliver the high-quality, durable products that our customers have come to expect.”

“Filson represents the essence of what ‘Made in America' is about – the highest quality products made by diligent, skilled workers right here in the United States,” said program Executive Producer Erik Nelson.

Filson is in good company with other businesses that have previously appeared on “Made in America,” including Bach Stradivarius Trumpets, Campbell's Soup, Ivory Soap and Mack Trucks.
