In an effort to inspire world travel, Eagle Creek, maker of innovative travel gear, partnered with 600 stores nationwide for the fourth annual World Travel Event. As part of the event activities, stores held travel and packing seminars and hosted receptions for consumers in their area.

As a highlight to the event, Eagle Creek gave both sales staff and consumers nationwide the chance to win a trip 6-day trip for two to Tasmania included airfare, accommodations, sightseeing and an Eagle Creek luggage set. The second and third prizes were Eagle Creek luggage and gear. Nancy Dewey from Bergman Luggage in Redmond, Washington was the salesperson that received the grand prize trip to Tasmania in the retail sweepstakes. The winner of the consumer sweepstakes trip to Tasmania was an individual from Indiana.

“We're thrilled to give people the opportunity to travel,” said Vice President of Sales Michael Millenacker. “At Eagle Creek, we believe it's important to break from the everyday and explore different parts of the world. In fact, we're passionate about it and aim to promote this passion in everything we do; whether that means delivering world class travel products or experiences such as this.”

Additionally, Eagle Creek offered a window display contest to highlight World Travel and Eagle Creek products. The winner was Distant Lands in Pasadena, whose owner, Adrian Kalvinskas, created the window display.
