Cloudveil, producer of inspired mountain apparel, announces the hiring of Kevin Cox of Alpine Exposure in the North Central region and Michael Schmidt & Bill Bruzzese of Velocity Sales in the Northeast territory.

“Kevin Cox was a past rep with Cloudveil and we are thrilled to have him back,” states Dave Mahoney, Cloudveil Sales Manager. “Kevin is still the ‘true road warrior'. He spends face-to-face time with his dealers and provides a level of service not often experienced in today's market.” Kevin Cox and Alpine Exposure current represent Western Mountaineering, Mountain Khakis, LEKI, and McNett.

“After a three year hiatus, I am thrilled to be back on the Cloudveil team”, Cox said. “As one of the original Cloudveil reps, I thoroughly enjoyed the challenges and rewards of growing the line from its infancy, to being a leader in the outdoor industry. I'm excited by the future potential of the company.”

The addition of Velocity Sales in the Northeast lends further credence to Cloudveil's core positioning in the outdoor and snow markets. Velocity Sales currently represents Madshus, Sugoi, Nikwax, Katadyn, Karhu, K2 Telemark, Garmont USA, Bridgedale Socks, Atlas Snowshoe Co.

“We are very excited to have Bill and Mike on our team,” Mahoney adds. “Both bring a wealth of experience and a true passion for what they do.”

“We were really pleased when the offer came to join the Cloudveil team,” stated Michael Schmidt. “Since the inception of our agency, authentic mountain brands have been the cornerstone of our business model. Frankly, I couldn't think of a better fit between two groups and we are all very optimistic for the terrain ahead.”

Cloudveil will debut its expanded Spring 2009 line at the Outdoor Retailer Summer Market in August.
