Canada Goose introduces its first high-tech Non-Insulated Outerwear Collection

(TORONTO) July 25, 2007 – Canada Goose, an international leader in premium down-filled outerwear for extreme cold climates, will unveil its first-ever high-tech Non-Insulated Outerwear Collection at the Outdoor Retailer Summer Market in booth number 38218 in Salt Lake City, Utah; Thursday, August 9 to Sunday, August 12.

The Non-Insulated Collection of protective outerwear expands upon the 50 years of excellence Canada Goose is known for and combines sophisticated functional fabrics and innovative textile technologies from Schoeller Textil AG, as well as high quality Swiss-made zippers from Riri. Protection, performance and technological innovation were the fundamentals behind the creation of the Non-Insulated Outerwear Collection. The new collection is entirely waterproof, windproof and highly breathable.

“Two years of development has culminated in this small line that we feel it is at the top of the non-insulated category,” says Dani Reiss, CEO of Canada Goose. “The materials and components are the very best, the functionality is indisputable and the look is classic Canada Goose. Our hope is that this small collection will grow into a year-round line that will compliment our existing down-filled assortment. Just like our winter line, this new non-insulated program is designed to be the best of its kind—true to the Canada Goose brand.”

The Non-Insulated Collection features Schoeller fabrics and technologies: c_change, a water/windproof membrane that reacts to changing temperatures and activities to ensure the ideal body climate; NanoSphere, a natural non-stick and self-cleaning finish that is highly stain resistant; and 3XDRY, a treatment that quickly absorbs and distributes inside moisture for accelerated evaporation. C_change, Nanosphere and 3XDRY all conform to the bluesign-standard for environmental protection.
