Boston, Anker in discussions for Antarctica trip
Elliott Boston, part of an African-American team attempting to climb the Seven Summits, told SNEWS® he and Conrad Anker have been working out the logistics for an expedition to Antarctica. "Conrad is very interested in what we're doing, not only with our expeditions, but also what we're doing with the inner city," Boston said. "He wants to work with us, so he set it up to where we would have an opportunity to climb with him. We're still working out the logistics right now." Also, the African-American duo of Boston and Stephen Shobe has expanded to include Dr. Jean Ellis, who the pair met on its February trip to Aconcagua. "His wealth of expertise was just unbelievable. He has attempted Everest from both sides, and he's done a ton of stuff in the Himalayas," Boston said. The three climbed together officially in late August, summiting Mount Elbrus in Russia's Caucasus mountains.
