| Outdoor Retailer Open Air Demo proves to be an important event, for many reasons
Aug 11, 2006 While a few folks were testing their off-road skills with Hummer, Outdoor Retailer was trying out a new two-day format for the Open Air Demo. The first day (actually a half day, beginning at 1 p.m.) drew only a light crowd of retailers, but attendance appeared to skyrocket the second day—one member of the SNEWS® crew had to catch the second shuttle from the Salt Palace because the first bus filled quickly, as did the second. Despite the 45-minute ride to Willard Bay, retailers and outfitters are willing to make the journey because the Demo continues to play a vital role in discovering new product and testing boats. | Hummer sponsorship at Outdoor Retailer Summer Market stirs up more than dust
Aug 4, 2006 When we first announced several weeks ago that Hummer was a sponsor at Outdoor Retailer Summer Market and would be offering test drives of its new H3 at a specially constructed off-road track during the Open Air Demo, the crescendo of protest via emails and calls to our office rose tenfold. A significant number asked us to spearhead an effort to kick Hummer out of the show (not really possible nor, frankly, is that our role as media). A few yawned and basically stated that the industry needed to get off its high horse and let buyers and show attendees vote with their time – either they drive the Hummer or they don't. Others wondered what our official stance was and when we would publish that along with comments from Outside, Outdoor Retailer and the Outdoor Industry Association. Fitnex E55SG Elliptical Sep 14, 2011 So many ellipticals can be large and pricy, and the though the smaller ones may have a lower price tag, what they give up to get there makes for a more wobbly ride that’s not as much fun. The Fitnex E55SG elliptical manages to be rather petite but still can hold its own when a user pushes it hard. Read Review | Comment on this review | Go to all Product Reviews |
